Mohi-ud-Din Islamic Medical College (MIMC)
Mohi-ud-Din Islamic Medical College (MIMC) is the first medical college in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K). It was started by Hazrat Allama Pir Ala-ud-din Siddiqui, a respected religious leader, with the goal of offering high-quality and affordable medical education based on Islamic values. MIMC is a part of Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University (MIU), Nerian Sharif, and is approved by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
The college began its first MBBS class in April 2009 and admits 100 students every year. It is located in Sector D-4, New Industrial Area, Mirpur, and covers a large area of 3.5 million square feet. The campus is well-designed with modern classrooms, science labs, libraries, and a teaching hospital. It also has separate hostels for male and female students, with space for more than 600 students. There are also housing facilities for teachers and staff, as well as dining halls, cafeterias, and transport services.

MIMC is led by experienced professionals. The Chancellor, Pir Sultan ul Arfeen Siddiqui, the Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen (R) Dr. Asif Mumtaz Sukhera HI(M), and the Principal, Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim, all work together to ensure students get the best education and training. The college focuses on not just teaching medicine, but also on allied health, nursing, and public health to give students a complete understanding of the healthcare system. It also encourages students to be kind, caring, and helpful members of society.
The vision of MIMC is to become a top medical college in Pakistan and the world. Its mission is to produce skilled doctors and healthcare professionals who are strong in knowledge, research, and Islamic values. This project is helping improve healthcare education in AJ&K and Pakistan, and aims to prepare students to meet international standards while serving their communities with honesty and care.
